Saint Vincent Seminary will honor Most Rev. Lawrence T. Persico, Bishop of Erie, as an Alumnus of Distinction at the annual Alumni Day Mass, to be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday, September 29 in the Archabbey Basilica. Very Rev. John M. Elliott, Esq., To Speak At Red Mass

The Diocese of Greensburg and Saint Vincent Archabbey, College, and Seminary will hold the 48th annual Red Mass, for members of the bench and bar, at noon Friday, October 2 at Saint Vincent Archabbey Basilica. Bishop Edward C. Malesic will preside at the Mass and give the homily. The keynote address will be given by John M. Elliott, chairman and chief executive officer of the Elliott Greenleaf law firm, with offices in Philadelphia, Blue Bell, Harrisburg, Scranton, Wilkes-Barre, and Wilmington, Delaware, is recognized as one of Pennsylvania’s top litigators. Saint Vincent Seminary welcomed 20 new students in 2015. They are from seven dioceses and six monasteries, including the dioceses of Altoona-Johnstown; Beijing, China; Covington, Kentucky; Erie; Metuchen, New Jersey; Pittsburgh and Steubenville, Ohio; Conception Abbey, Missouri; Saint Andrew Abbey, Cleveland; Saint Joseph Monastery, Lucerne Valley, California; Saint Peters Abbey, Muenster, Saskatchewan, Canada; Saint Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe and São Bento Monastery in São Paulo, Brazil.
