Abbot Gregory Polan, O.S.B., the newly elected Abbot Primate of the worldwide Benedictine Order, will be the commencement speaker at the May 12, 2017 commencement of Saint Vincent Seminary, scheduled for 5 p.m. in the Archabbey Basilica. Abbot Gregory, who, until his election as Abbot Primate, was the Abbot of Conception Abbey in Missouri, represents the International Federation of Benedictine Abbeys throughout the world. Read More

Seminary Mardi Gras Event February 18

Saint Vincent Seminary will hold its ninth annual Mardi Gras celebration on Saturday, February 18 at the Fred Rogers Center on campus. The event features a regular Mardi Gras meal with Cajun-style food and beverages, served by the seminarians. Eight seminarians from Saint Vincent Seminary were instituted to the Ministry of Acolyte on October 5. They are from the dioceses of Covington, Pittsburgh, Metuchen and Beijing, China, and from Saint Andrew Abbey in Cleveland and Saint Vincent Archabbey. The acolyte is instituted to serve at the altar and assist the priest and deacon. Read More
