Former Faculty Member to Speak at Seminary Commencement
The Very Reverend Joseph M. Mele, rector of the Saint Paul Seminary in the Diocese of Pittsburgh, will speak at the 167th annual commencement of Saint Vincent Seminary. He will receive an honorary doctorate and give the address. The commencement ceremony will take place on Friday, May 10, at 5 p.m. in the Archabbey Basilica.

Cardinal Arinze To Give Talks On Vatican II
On Wednesday, April 17, and Thursday, April 18, Saint Vincent Archabbey and Seminary will host a two-day presentation on the four major Constitutions of the Second Vatican Council. His Eminence Francis Cardinal Arinze will be the keynote speaker. He will provide an overview of each of the four documents and offer a historical perspective regarding the impact these documents have had on the life of the Church. Each of the lectures will be followed by a period of discussion. Saint Vincent is pleased to welcome Cardinal Arinze as part of its “Year of Faith” Lecture Series.

Cardinal Who Served as Blessed John Paul II's Secretary To Say Mass At Saint Vincent
Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz of Krakow, who served as the personal secretary to the late Blessed John Paul II through his 27 years as pope, will offer Mass at Saint Vincent Archabbey Basilica at 11:30 a.m. Friday, April 12. The public is invited to attend. Archabbot Douglas R. Nowicki, O.S.B., members of the Benedictine community and students of Saint Vincent Seminary and College, as well as members of the Basilica Parish, will take part in the Mass. This will be the cardinal’s first visit to Saint Vincent.
